OK, I know your mouth has NOT stopped watering and you are fainting and you have GOT to have this. And you know what? YOU ARE RIGHT!!!!
Well, so did I. Last Sunday. I had everything except Creole Seasoning. I wanted this so bad I could taste it–yeah, pun intended–so I had to make my own Creole seasoning because around here “running to the store” means a 20-mile trip.
The recipe is from my blogging buddy Creole Contessa. And she’s got a real winner here with this one. Also check out her burgers. If you are a cheese freak, you’ll be fainting again. Creole Seasoning Blend
This Creole Seasoning Blend is really a terrific spice blend that can be used for so many things…and there’s a link to one of them in this post!
Servings: 1 cup
Calories: 300kcal
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp oregano
- 2 tbsp basil
- 1 1/2 tbsp thyme
- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp white pepper
- 2 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3 tbsp regular paprika
- 2 tbsp smokey paprika
- 3 tbsp kosher salt
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together and store in an air-tight container.
- This would also be an EXCELLENT rub for BBQ ribs.
- Makes about 1 cup
