Welcome!
Hello to all! My name is Judy and I’m a widow and a retired mechanical engineer. Now I’m a professional photographer, food writer and cookbook author and I live near Woodstock, NY (yes, THAT Woodstock of festival fame). I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and no matter how long I live here, I still sound as if I never left Brooklyn. I have always loved to cook, share my recipes and tips and experiment in the kitchen.
Save Time But Eat Well–Easy Recipes
If you’re looking for easy recipes, then you’ve come to the right place! I no longer want to complicate my life by fussing over a recipe. Nowadays, give me simple, straight-forward meals and treats that require a minimum of ingredients and fuss, and if they can be made in one pan, all the better. Because I don’t live in a large city anymore, I have streamlined my recipes so that they use ingredients you can get anywhere. If something unusual pops up, I will give you a source where you can locate it.
If you work outside the home, I think you will love my approach to cooking. My goal is to save you time in the kitchen while still preparing tasty “real-food” meals for your family.
When I’m Not Cooking…
I’m an incurable bakeware addict and dog and cat lover/rescuer. I have so much serveware I tell everyone I need another house just to store it! I’m the type of gal who wants to die in places like Pier 1 and Bed Bath & Beyond. I used to have four…yes FOUR at one time…German Shepherds but they have all gone to Rainbow Bridge. The only guy I have left is my little mixed breed, Byron. We also adopted Fred the tuxedo cat two years ago.
I hope you enjoy your visit here. If you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to contact me.
